Keeping it simple: New York Fashion Week street style

Screen Shot 2015-09-14 at 10.31.30 am Words by Sophia Doak  Whether it's all dressed in white like a virgin, taking it back to all black, or classically advertising both, minimalistic outfit choices are gracing the crowded streets of New York for New York Fashion Week this fall. Clean cut black pants, loose white trousers and shirts, and black coats can be perfectly worn and matched to create simplistic stylish outfits, as seen on Danielle Bernstein of We Wore What and Charlotte G of The Fashion Guitar, or can be dressed up to create funky and unique outfits as seen on Chiara Ferragni of The Blonde Salad and writer Polina Proshkina. These funky fashion goers show that minimalistic is not at all boring. After all, white is classic and clean, and stands out in the colourful crowds of the city, while black on black is elongating for the figure, it's elegant yet can still has some spunk, and black goes with everything, am I right? So for us here at home, don't be afraid to make a statement in the simplicity that is minimalistic style.
