International Cabaret Season is back for 2015 - Win a Double Pass with Remix

Beginning on Wednesday the 2nd and going until the 6th of September the seven international and local acts will have you on the edge of your seats and wanting more. An eclectic mix of the top cabaret acts from around the world offer thrilling, intimate, and moving performances for everyone to enjoy. Performing at the Auckland Town Hall this year will be: Camille O’Sullivan (IRE), Paul Capsis (AUS), Tim Finn (NZ), Yana Alana (AUS),Exposing Edith (AUS) and 'Lady Sings the Blues' - Ladi6, Julia Deans, Hollie Smith, Annie Crummer, Whirimako Black, Ria Hall and special guest Camille O’Sullivan explore the songs of Billie Holiday. This year they’re also opening up the Herald Theatre for Ronnie Burkett (CAN) and his lifelike marionettes. With three or more shows on every night you’ll be spoilt for choice over the week.

Irish-French songstress, Camille O’Sullivan is internationally renowned for her dramatic and beautiful performances. She has worked with a number of artists recently, including touring with The Pogues as a guest lead vocalist and being chosen by Yoko Ono to perform alongside Patti Smith and Sean Lennon at the Royal Festive Hall. Her performance will include music from her album Changeling, which has interpretations from popular songs by Radiohead, Arcade Fire, and many more. Paul Capsis is one of Australia’s most prominent cabaret stars both locally and internationally. With five Helpmann Awards under his belt and a diverse career in film, stage, and television, Capsis has a lot going for him. His performance includes him channeling such stars as Janis Joplin, Amy Winehouse, Judy Garland, and many others, which will take you on an exciting journey.
