Auckland Theatre Company's new punk rock opera

If you're looking to extend your cultural horizons, look no further than the Auckland Theatre Company's new show That Bloody Woman. Round up a group of friends and make your way to SKYCITY Theatre this 9 - 26th of June to experience what was the runaway hit of the 2015 Christchurch Festival.

That Bloody Woman written by Luke Di Somma and Gregory Cooper, and directed by Kip Chapman is the story of Kate Sheppard's campaign to win the vote for woman in New Zealand - a campaign that changed the world.

Esther Stephens plays the part of Sheppard, where she explores the story of how she battled for equality in an epic pink rock opera which is full of infectious music and intelligence, putting a modern day spin on an important part of history.

Stephens has been in demand lately after releasing an independent album and starring in a number of New Zealand television shows, including Outrageous Fortune, Westside and Go Girls
