Discover Remix’s official Wellness Issue with cover star and wellbeing leader, Kourtney Kardashian Barker

With sunny days now in the rearview mirror, this year is finally getting started. We’ve spent the last few months refining our goals and adopting new rituals, and this week, we officially launch The Wellness Issue—our biggest (and best) edition of Remix that we’ve ever published.

Our cover star is none other than Kourtney Kardashian Barker, a woman who—among many things—has shaped our wellness rituals and the greater discourse for decades. She knows wellbeing at its extremities, but in this latest chapter of her life, she prioritises family and balance almost as the ultimate ritual. We shot her in Los Angeles, a wellness mecca in itself, and she spoke candidly to Steven Fernandez about a life well-lived. And by all accounts, there was lots of fun on this shoot—we got Kourtney in a water bath, covered in a clay mask, and dived in off the deep end—we can’t wait to see it on the show later this year.

Elsewhere in the magazine, we turned to the experts in their fields to bring you some of the most comprehensive wellness advice on offer. Celebrity esthetician Sharni Darden tells us her secrets to good skin, while local heroes Sarah Reid and Sarah Mitchell Weston share their all-encompassing approaches. Polar Explorer Felicity Aston speaks to the collective wellbeing of the planet, downhill mountain biker Brook MacDonald tells us about wellness on the road, and we meet some of the new generation gardeners fuelling homegrown goodness. Plus, our editors have compiled the ultimate guide to the 25 best wellness products that you absolutely need in your arsenal.

From a fashion front, this issue is equally stacked. Beyond our shoot with Kourtney, we get up close and personal with some of Auckland FC’s star players, head to the beaches of Sydney for a stunning sunrise, and traipse around the streets of Auckland, searching for shelter and warmer layers. Our editors break down the latest trends, have compiled a comprehensive runway report, and have spoken to creative directors and designers like Mary Katrantzou, Tory Burch and Toby Wright of Monphell for a look forward to the future.

And we also look to culture leaders for the months ahead. Artists and creators like Bella McGoldrick, Riiki Reid and Black Grace share their upcoming sentiments for the season, and we’ve compiled all of the places you need to visit this season—both in Auckland and much further afield. Plus, if you’re looking closely, you’ll see that everyone’s favourite, the Remix Lifestyle Awards, have just launched—and we can’t wait to see who’s in your eyes for this year.

So when we say this edition is our biggest and best yet, we mean it. The issue that lays ahead is brimming with conversations and recommendations that fill all of our cups. After all, as Kourtney herself suggests, why not seek out a life that truly feels good? That’s what wellbeing looks like to me.
