The Highball is the newest way to enjoy Black Label Blended Scotch Whisky to your own quirky tastes but don’t just take our word for it… 

 

What is a Highball?

In their simplest form, a highball consists of good quality spirit, a balanced mixer and a fresh, uplifting garnish, while at their most complex they are an intricate balance of all ‘taste elements’ (sweet, sour, salt and bitter). But the one constant is that they are always long, cool, crisp and wonderfully refreshing…

Elderflower Highball

 

Ingredients:

50ml Johnnie Walker Black Label

50ml Elderflower Six Barrel Soda Syrup

100ml Chilled Soda Water

Edible flowers

Freeze dried plum - crumbled 

Mint Leaves

 

Method:

Build in a tall glass over fresh cubed ice, briefly stir and garnish with mint leaves, edible flowers and crumble some freeze dried plum as a dusting to finish off.

Ginger Highball

Ingredients:

50ml Johnnie Walker Black Label

50ml Ginger Six Barrel Soda Syrup

100ml Chilled Soda Water

Star anise

Crystallised ginger 

 

Method:

Build over fresh cubed ice, briefly stir and garnish with candied ginger cubes on a pick and some star anise

Peach Highball

 

Ingredients:

50ml Johnnie Walker Black Label

50ml Peach Six Barrel Soda Syrup

100ml Chilled Soda Water

Slices of pear 

Fresh Thyme Stalks 

 

Method:

Build in a tall glass, over fresh cubed ice, briefly stir and garnish with a slice of pear and fresh thyme stalks.
