How I kicked my sugar cravings (for good) with Horleys
On the planet, there are two kinds of people – those with a sweet tooth and those with a penchant for all things savoury.
I am the former. Through and through. Throw me in a room with a donut and what transpires can only be described as what happens when a Tasmanian Devil gets excited – complete and utter carnage. Thankfully, I've discovered a range of products that keep my cravings at bay, with Horleys selection of flavoursome protein powders and bars.
While these two different kinds of people manage to live in harmony for the most part, come between this girl and her beloved donuts and you may just lose a finger.
But, with summer on its way, I decided it was high time to kick these sugar cravings to the proverbial curb. I banned all refined sugar from my house, and surprise, surprise, I felt awful. Much to my cookie-obsessed fiancé’s dismay, not even a gram of the white stuff could be found.
With only six months left on the countdown until our wedding, it was high time to seriously ramp my diet and exercise game. Bye bye sugar, hello sexy wedding bod!
But rather than go totally cold-turkey, I discovered the perfect alternative in the form of Horley’s Sculpt Salted Caramel Protein Powder.
The perfect addition to my morning breakfast, or to pep me up in an afternoon slump, the finely milled powder contains no added sugars and 18g of protein to keep me fuller for longer.
Equally as delicious mixed in with my overnight oats, or blended with water for an afternoon shake, this was the perfect way to keep my sugar cravings at bay.
Couple this with three different kinds of Horleys Carbless Protein Bars, and I knew I’d be able to kick my habit for good. A personal favourite of mine is the Carbless Delight Peanut Caramel flavour, which legitimately tastes like a Snickers bar! Yes please!
