Chocolate mousse minus the guilt

Finally, a deliciously chocolatey mousse that is healthy! We never thought healthy and dessert would ever be in the same sentence.

Thanks to Australian fitness and health guru Ashy Bines, a mousse that is low in sugar and doesn’t contain any of those nasty artificial products is here. Plus, it’s ready in only five minutes! Ashy Bines, you are officially our hero. Without further ado, here’s the recipe:

Ingredients:
1 large, ripe avocado
1 banana
4 tbs raw cacao powder
3 tbs coconut oil
2 tbs maple syrup (or honey or rice malt syrup)
2 tsp chocolate powder
1 tbs protein powder (preferably chocolate flavour, optional)
Greek yoghurt (aim for low-sugar)
Handful of berries (preferably blueberries and raspberries)
Coconut shreds and/or cacao nibs

Method:
Mix avocado, banana, cacao powder, coconut oil, maple syrup, chocolate powder and protein powder in a blender or food processor until smooth
Place a layer of yoghurt into a red wine glass, about 2-3 fingers high
Sprinkle the berries on top of the yoghurt
Layer the chocolate mousse on top of the berries, roughly an equal portion to the yoghurt
Garnish with coconut shreds and cacao nibs
