Your next favourite romcom is hitting the silver screens this summer

Romcom enthusiasts alike flocked to social media with the teasing release images of Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell bursting with chemistry; a powerfully romantic duo or was it just the perfect public relations stint? Their love affair shots left viewers guessing if true or false, but the announcement of Anyone But You set to hit the silver screens this summer put our hearts at rest. The scintillating trailer gives fans a sneak peek into what’s to come with an overarching theme of two people who can’t stand each other - but can’t seem to get away from each other - vacationing in Sydney for a destination wedding. Of course, we anticipate a happy ending that injects the notion of true love, but only time will tell. With a little more anticipation before the release day, we turn to some of our favourite destination weddings to occupy our time. 

Sofia Richie & Elliot Grainge - Antibes, France

The Elliot & Sofia-Richie Grainge wedding was the event of the year, set in the South of France, yet reaching all four corners of the world through social media. The dubbed modern-day royal wedding saw a star-studded yet intimate takeover of the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc on the French Riviera, holding the epitome of opulence and elegance at the forefront: the bride wore Chanel, and the groom wore Tom Ford. The guest list saw some of their nearest and dearest attending, including Lionel Richie, Paris Hilton, Cameron Diaz, Benji & Joel Madden, and many more. 

Tash Oakley & Theodore Chambers - Capri, Italy

The Monday Swimwear founder had a wedding that we all dream of, held on the picturesque Italian island of Capri, which also happened to be the location of the proposal. A true testament to the incandescence and romance of the country, the venue overlooked the Mediterranean Sea, and the place settings were adorned in Eucalyptus, a nod to their Australian roots. They exchanged vows and Tash said  “I do” gowned in Steven Khalil and spritzed in Lys 41 by Le Labo.

Margaret Qualley & Jack Antonoff - New Jersey, USA 

2023 has had no shortage of iconic weddings, and the Margaret Qualley and Jack Antonoff ceremony was the cherry on top. A star-studded crowd including Cara Delevigne, Lana Del Rey, Zoë Kravitz, Channing Tatum and more turned up to celebrate the couples’ big day, and tied the not with Qualley wearing a relaxed halter dress, channelling her inner Marilyn Monroe, and Antonoff wore a classic black tux.
