A new rooftop bar has just opened in Auckland

Our fingers have been hovered over Insta since the day we heard whispers that Auckland's latest and greatest hotel SO/ Auckland was opening a rooftop bar. FACT: drinks taste better at a higher altitude. Don’t believe us? All you have to do is pop-down, (or should we say up), to HI SO and sip on a cocktail while watching the sun go down. We trust it will provide some pretty compelling anecdotal evidence.  

Ever wondered what it would be like to indulge in a coveted wine list while soaking in panoramic views of the city? Well wonder no more, because HI SO is officially the only bar you need to step foot in this summer.  Just when we thought the city couldn’t get any more Melbourne, this little slice of heaven has popped up, answering all our rooftop-bar-deprived-induced cries.  

Occupying the former Reserve Bank, this luxury boutique hotel is designed to shatter conventions with its audacious fit-out. Adding to the culinary offerings is SO/ Auckland’s Harbour Society restaurant on the 15^th floor, with former Michelin-starred restaurant owner Marc de Passorio at the helm. 

Renowned fashion innovator WORLD has provided flair throughout the hotel and SO/ Auckland is set to become the city’s most Instagrammable hot spots and the place to be.
