From their inception into the footwear world, dating as far back as the 17th century, to collaborations with luxury fashion giant Dior, Birkenstocks are most definitely the way to go when considering your next sandal purchase.

Ambers’s top 3  favourite things about the Kyoto style

I love the clean & minimal aesthetic of the shoe because it means I can literally wear them with any outfit. Whether it be a dress for date night or with activewear as I run around the supermarket, they somehow look good with everything!

The comfort is like no other! I’m often on my feet styling shoots and now that I’m pregnant, comfort is my number one priority. I have definitely noticed a difference when wearing this style as the suede-lined cork-latex footbed is like walking on a cloud.

I love a walk on the beach and although this particular style is made from buttery suede, they’re still super easy to clean which really is the cherry on the top. 

Orion’s  top 3  favourite things about the Kyoto style

I love how the upper part of the sandal is fully adjustable with velcro, not only making it easy to adjust the fit of the shoe but as big socks and sandal lover I can also adjust them to fit my more chunkier sock collection. ( socks and sandals are back in style, look it up!)

There’s no secret that I’m a fan of a pop of colour, and although I love this muted grey hue, knowing there’s also a bold teal colour on offer has me excited to see what other colourways might be coming in future. 

I always love to go for something a little different in every walk of life, including my footwear choices. This Japanese inspired silhouette is something I hadn’t seen before. They’re understated enough to not be in your face but bold enough to make a statement and spice up any outfit that might need it.
