Remix’ guide to the most coveted athleisure brands

Ask any Aucklander: Athleisure has taken over everyday style, especially for those who are privy to a coffee and a stroll down Ponsonby Road on a Saturday morning. Even our favourite fashion maisons have hopped on this trend that never stopped trending, with designers like Miu Miu and Loewe proving that comfort doesn’t have to compromise style.

At Remix, we are no stranger to crop tops and matching leggings, with a trench coat and dad sneakers to match. Therefore, we have compiled a list of our top 5 go-to spots that cater to all of our athleisure needs.

Stylerunner is the ultimate one-stop shop that houses all of our favourite sporty-chic brands from PE Nation to Araminta James, allowing us to achieve our dream ‘pilates princess’ aesthetic. Lucky for us (and you), Stylerunner heard our prayers and will be opening their second set of doors this weekend (Saturday 5th August), in Auckland’s bustling Sylvia Park mall.

Sporty & Rich

Not all of us have the luxury of living like Sofia Richie. However, wearing Sporty & Rich sure makes you look like it. Created by Instagram It-girl Emily Oberg, Sporty & Rich is a collection of timeless athleisure pieces that lean into the ‘Old-Money’ aesthetic.

We couldn’t write about our favourite athleisure brands without including the coveted Lululemon. Anyone with a social media presence will know that Lululemon pieces have been trending for some quite some time now - the flared yoga pants, the Define Jacket a.k.a ‘the BBL jacket’, and the Everyday Belt Bag are among our favourites at the moment. If they aren’t hanging in our wardrobes already, they’re definitely sitting in our carts.

Aim’n is a Scandinavian activewear brand with a strong wellness ethos. Not only are aim’n pieces super cute and incredibly flattering, but slipping on an aim’n outfit almost has the potential to turn you into ‘that girl’, you know - the type of girl who wakes up at 6am, makes herself a Matcha, and goes for a long walk on the beach.
