Our Venetian love affair with Bulgari's 'Meditteranea'
Our love affair with Bulgari’s intricate High Jewellery collections continues. Just recently, the Italian Maison chose Venice, the crossroads of Mediterranean influences, to unveil Mediterranea, its new High Jewellery and High-end Watches Collection. The A-list event resided at one of Venice’s most recognisable symbols, the Palazzo Ducale, showcasing a precious assortment of over 400 one-of-a-kind High Jewellery creations, 90 of them worth millions.
The celebrity guests shined just as bright as the jewellery with the likes of Bulgari Brand Ambassadors Zendaya, Anne Hathaway and Priyanka Chopra Jonas in attendance for an exclusive jewellery show, developed under the creative direction of none other than fashion icon, Carine Roitfeld. Runway muses included supermodels Stella Maxwell, Blesnia Minher and Eva Herzigova who walked on a precious mosaic catwalk developed specifically for the event by Orsoni1888, that was inspired by the brand’s High Jewellery collection.
Every detail at the event was highly considered and purposeful, even the soundtrack was created by Italian orchestra director Beatrice Venezi, a longtime friend of the jewellery house. “This High Jewellery collection is an homage to Mediterranean beauty and essence in all its forms. For me, being in the Mediterranean region is an awakening of all senses, and a real inspirational experience. The architecture, the nature, the people, I am eyeing beauty everywhere. It is an inspiring melting pot, where many different cultures and societies have mingled and enriched each other over centuries. Our hospitality and open-mindedness are rooted in this history,” stated Lucia Silvestri, Bulgari Jewellery Creative Director.
Closing the night on a high note (literally) crowd-pleaser songstress, Norah Jones performed her classics, Don’t Know Why, Come Away with Me and Sunrise as guests enjoyed Michelin star chef Massimiliano Alajmo dinner gala while admiring the divine Italian creations.
