Chanel takes Cuba for their new collection runway show
Chanel has launched collections in cities all around the world from Seoul to Dubai, you name it, Coco has been there. And this year, Karl Largerfeld set his sights on Cuba. The Chanel 2016/17 Cruise collection was launched last week in the heart of Havana at Paseo del Prado symbolising the links between Cuba and France.
In the tree-lined, open air Paseo del Prado, eight stunning bronze lion statues are positioned at every crossroad, Mademoiselle Chanel's most loved animal. Models strolled effortlessly in flat brogues and slides, wearing 'debutante' dresses in lace or organza, tweed tube dresses, belted floaty dresses in ‘50s car prints, and masculine-feminine jackets. The embroiderers beautifully decorated sleeves with layers of tattered fabric and sequin-encrusted dresses in peachy-pinks and greeny-blues.
What's in this season? Cuban style, of course.
