For us the past week has been all about our cover girl Kylie Jenner, but her stunning older sister Kendall has also been making the news. Kendall Jenner has officially been unveiled as the face of Calvin Klein Jeans' new campaign, the #mycalvins Denim Series.
Calvin Klein are famous for using the hottest faces (and bodies) for their campaigns, so when word about their new campaign got out, the rumour mill began about who their newest face might be. With runway shows and campaigns for Balmain, Chanel and Alexander Wang under her belt this year alone, and a cool following of 22 million on Instagram, Kendall wasn't a super surprising choice. But it's exciting all the same.
'Modeling for Calvin Klein Jeans is really a dream come true,' she says.
'I've grown up wearing the brand and seeing the iconic advertising in magazines and on billboards featuring some of the world's top supermodels. To now be a part of that legacy is truly an honour.'
The new #mycalvins Demim Series collection is based around iconic Calvin Klein jeans, logo tees and sweatshirts, with the full range consisting of tees, jeans, denim shorts and jackets, jogger sweatpants, unisex backpacks and hats.
'This series is an expression of the athletic trend that's happening right now,' says Global Creative Director, Kevin Carrigan.
'I designed an assortment of unisex tees and tops to be mixed with denim in elevated street styles. These are the ideal wardrobe essentials for an active, youthful lifestyle like Kendall's.'
The series is a logo-driven offering inspired by athletic and urban streetwear and influenced by the success of the #mycalvins social media campaign, which Kendall participated in along with other high profile celebrities. The campaign, which is still engaging millions of Klein fans today, encourages people to post selfies of themselves wearing Calvin Klein and using the hashtag, #mycalvins.
