A 'Friends' musical is hitting New York this year!
Calling all Friends fans, your favourite sitcom is about to be revived.
A whole 13 years after the (still popular) show ended its 10-season run, the much-loved six main characters are taking to the stage and singing their hearts out as they 'navigate the pitfalls of work, life and love in 1990's Manhattan,' at New York's Triad Theatre.
Written by pop-culture parody masters Bob and Tobly McSmith - the brains behind previous off-Broadway hits such as 90210! The Musical, Friends is sure to be just as wonderful, snarky and over-the-top as the duo's past shows.
Songs include 'The only coffee shop in New York City', 'We were on a break', 'The ballad of Fat Monica', and 'We will always be there for you'. We can also look forward to all our quirky supporting characters - particularly Gunther and Janice - occasionally stealing the show. In 90210 the McSmith's convinced past cast members to make a few cameos. We haven't heard any confirmation of this happening with Friends yet, but fingers crossed!
We can't wait to hear about the newly spoofed, Rachel, Joey, Chandler, Monica, Ross and Phoebe in all their musical glory, and we do hope that Phoebe's 'Smelly Cat' and Ross and Monica's ridiculous dance routine get a nod.
Tickets go on sale in June, and the show will play at a date TBA, in later 2017.
To our much-loved six Central Perk dwellers, break a leg.
