In the lead up to party season, we sought the lowdown from the experts at ghd as to what will be the biggest hair trends this year. Steps

1. Prep the hair by applying a moisturising pomade and oil and detangle the hair throughout.

4. Smooth the hairline with an edge taming gel.

4. Continue this technique, topping up sections throughout the hair.
5. Section the hair into two from the end of the eyebrow.
6. Tie the top section into a low pony using an elastic

5. Continue this technique until all hair is smooth and straightened.
6. Turn the ghd platinum+™ styler a quarter turn inwards on the ends to create a soft bevel.

Festive Half-Up Pony

6. Continue this technique throughout the hair until all hair is smooth and tucked.
7. Section the front of the hair into a large triangle, clip this up and out of the way
8. Section the hair again from the ears upwards for a high ponytail and tie this into place.
9. Release the triangle section, sweep to the side and secure with festive hair slides
10. Finish the look by wrapping hair around the elastic and misting with the ghd perfect ending final fix hairspray.
