Shark's Smoothcation Celebrates The Arrival Of The SmoothStyle
A whole lot more than just a blow-dry brush, the newest release from Shark places the power of an in-salon blow wave in your hands.
Already a viral sensation thanks to their drop dead amazing FlexStyle tool, we were all waiting with baited breath for Shark to unleash their next innovation. And soon our styling prayers were answered — with the release of the all-new SmoothStyle. The product was launched with a luxe ‘Shark Smoothcation’ at a superlative coastal home in Noosa, Australia, where a carefully curated list of VIP guests including Remix editor-in-chief Amber were treated to a day of self-care and styling courtesy of the brand. The dreamy retreat included soothing massages, a meditative sound bath, endless cocktails and treats and a one-on-one session with Chris Hunter, Shark ambassador and the founder and director of Willomina Woollahra, one of Australia’s premium salon destinations.
But let’s talk about the product itself, a Heated Comb Straightener + Smoother in one that has to be experienced first-hand. An all-in-one tool for perfect blow drying, volumising, straightening and smoothing, it is here to help us all achieve a salon-perfect blow dry from the comfort of home — who can argue with that? The new styling essential is also engineered for what the brand calls “All Hairkind™” — as in: every hair texture and every hair type, from curly and coily, to wavy and straight, and everything in between.
Unlike other blow-dry brushes, the SmoothStyle uses a combination of nylon bristles and boar bristles for a strong grip and smooth and shiny results, and it has two modes: Wet Hair Mode and Dry Hair Mode. The dual modes make it the perfect everyday tool — use it to go from wet to dry on wash day, then refresh bedhead and banish ponytail creases and more when your hair is dry.
And with hair health top of mind, the SmoothStyle straightens and smooths hair using heated comb technology, the integrated comb smoothing your hair with low temperatures, maintaining its shape and movement, and ensuring your strands absorb less heat than traditional flat irons.
