Shark Beauty makes waves at Australian Fashion Week
Remix joined the action at Australian Fashion Week 2025 as Shark Beauty took the reins as presenting partner, aligning with leading designers Carla Zampatti, Aje., Alix Higgins, Bianca Spender, and Mariam Seddiq. Across the week, Shark's presence was felt both backstage and front row, reinforcing hair's role as a critical element in the fashion narrative.
"Shark Beauty's tools meet the pace and pressure of backstage while delivering refined, long-lasting looks," said Madison Voloshin, Shark Beauty Hair Director, who led the brand's runway execution throughout the week.
Remix founder Tim Phin touched down in Sydney to experience the brand's activation first-hand. The event began at Capella Hotel with a welcome from the Shark team and a SpeedStyle tool at the ready. A private styling session with brand ambassador Joey Scandizzo set the tone before the event headed into day one—Carla Zampatti's opening show.
Backstage at Circular Quay, Voloshin's team delivered a strong, sculpted look inspired by the late designer's legacy. "Carla had beautiful, powerful hair—I once styled it myself," he said. "We reflected that with side parts and soft waves that still held form and structure." The Shark FlexStyle and SpeedStyle tools, supported by mousse and textural brushwork, anchored the look.
Post-show, Shark hosted the Opening Night Party on the rooftop of the Museum of Contemporary Art. With views across the harbour and a soundtrack to match, the brand proved equally adept at hosting as it is at styling.
Shark's pop-up at Carriageworks ran throughout the week. It offered express styling services to fashion-goers, from glossed, slick finishes to voluminous, undone waves.
The team returned backstage for Aje. mid-week, delivering a deconstructed, textural look. "We started with French girl polish and pulled it apart," said Voloshin. "The result was light, voluminous hair with movement and ease."
Later, for Bianca Spender, Shark Beauty Hair Director Chris Hunter crafted looks inspired by the moment of emerging from water. "The finish was damp, not slick—soft and separated with a dewy texture," he explained. "We kept hair off the face, used the diffuser to build shape, and finished with the RapidGloss attachment for control."
Backstage-tested and editor-approved, Shark Beauty's styling tools should be firmly on your radar and your vanity.
