The Weekly Remix Report

It's Friday so that can only mean one thing - welcome back to another edition of everything the Remix team is loving this week.

A sustainable style story
Since its arrival on the style scene in 2006, New Zealand label Kowtow has shaken up the sustainability game in fabulous fashion. Today, Kowtow continues to strive for better with the arrival of its second completely plastic-free collection, Terra. Much like its ethos, garments draw inspiration from natural elements, with colours derived from the minerals below and forest canopies above. This is evident in pieces like the Petra Shirt and Mile Trench, where muted greens and stone hues reign supreme. Terra not only marks a new chapter of wearable and versatile newness from the beloved brand but also welcomes an exciting new development in Kowtow’s plastic-free innovation. The introduction of natural rubber elastic shirring is a first for the label (as featured in the soon-to-be-released Sienna Dress) and further cements Kowtow’s dedication to full-circle fashion.

Stepping onto the style scene
As if we ever needed another excuse for a new pair of shoes, the arrival of Australian shoe brand Bared Footwear is the perfect ammunition. After opening its doors on Broadway in Auckland just last month, already Bared Footwear is shaping up to be the hottest shoe store in town. And with style and comfort catered for in equal measures, we’re hardly surprised. After two decades of dedicating her work to creating stylish shoes that don’t sacrifice comfort, founder Anna Baird has found the secret to success, championing sustainability every step of the way. Following their recent, global expansion in New York, the Newmarket Broadway store mimics the chic, cosmopolitan feel of the Big Apple. Inside, ample shelves line the walls, boasting a selection of both timeless and trend-led boots, loafers, sneakers and heels, ensuring there’s a pair (or two) for all walks of life.
