See inside Barak Obama's post-presidential mansion

As Barack Obama's final term as President of the United States draws to a close, the time has come for the family to find somewhere to live upon their departure from the White House.

Enter, this beautiful nine-bedroom and eight-and-a-half bathroom Tudor. In a rare move for most former first families, the Obamas will remain in Washington following the end of Barack's term in January 2017. 'We're going to have to stay a couple of years in D.C. probably so Sasha can finish [school]. Transferring someone in the middle of high school? Tough,' the President said of his youngest daughter.

According to D.C. tax assessments, the mansion is currently valued at nearly NZ $10 million. The spacious manor boasts a generous living and dining area, a media room, au-pair quarters, formal gardens and enough space to park eight to 10 cars. Security measures will be put in place, as former presidents are given continued secret service protection. The new home is about a kilometre from the home of the Clintons and about five kilometres from the White House.
