Remix heads behind the scenes with Joico for one of our favourite hair looks at fashion week
On the final day of NZFW, Remix went backstage with Joico to see what really goes on behind the runway. If you’ve ever wondered what backstage looks like, it’s an ecstatic kind of organised chaos with stylists weaving through models, hairspray in the air, and last-minute touch-ups everywhere you look. In the middle of it all, we caught up with Joico Hair Directors Felicity Collier and Andrew Cobeldick to talk about their journey with Joico and the creative vision and individuality that shaped the Breast Cancer Cure show’s hair brief. And between friends, Andrew admitted it takes months of planning (even though it looked so effortless), while Felicity revealed they’d selected a look versatile enough to complement all eight designers’ runway styles—one of the major challenges with any group show.
