Celebrity weddings are the epitome of opulence, a glamorous affair that most of us could only dream of. While some opt for a less traditional approach, others go the whole nine yards with a lavish affair to remember. The Kiwi wedding season is fast approaching and if you’re seeking some inspo for your own special day, we've dug into the celeb archives to help bring your day to life. 

Traditional

The latest it-girl on the scene, Sophia Richie-Grainge wedded her now-spouse Elliot Grainge in the classiest event of 2023. The exclusively Chanel clad bride said “I do” in the dreamy South of France earlier this year, perfectly emulating an aura of quiet luxury. Following the luxurious ceremony, a vibrant, celeb rich afterparty ensued, securing the Richie-Grainge wedding as an occasion we won't soon forget.
The Bieber & Baldwin union took place at the Montage Palmetto Bluff hotel in South Carolina, leaving Justin and Hailey with the most coveted, talked about wedding of 2019. In a sophisticated Virgil Abloh dress and matching veil embroidered with “till death do us part,” Hailey Bieber was the image of pure refinement. The iconic couple showed us how it's done, a picturesque day of beauty to rival the bride and groom. 

Fairytale

The couple of the hour on everyone's radar, Victoria and David Beckham, had the 90’s wedding of our dreams. Straight from a storybook, set in Ireland's Luttrellstown Castle, Victoria’s illustrious champange Vera Wang gown looked straight out of a fairytale. This wedding was a one-of-a-kind, idyllic event which has stood as a testament to their long-standing love and commitment to one another. We can all only hope to be so lucky!

Simon Porte Jacquemus and Marco Maestri’s wedding was a magical venture that we just can not get enough of. Exchanging rings in the south of France in Jacquemus’ charming hometown village of Charleval, their wedding was equal parts personal and enchanting. Characterised by the gorgeous architecture and blissful scenery, the couple undeniably put on a visually captivating event.

Intimate

Two of our favourite celebs, Lily Allen and David Harbour kept their union under wraps in a perfectly non-traditional intimate wedding. Taking place in Las Vegas, officiated by an Elvis Presely impersonator, then ending the evening with a fast food chain reception, all while sporting a Dior dress, we couldn’t be more obsessed with these two.

Beloved kiwi film director Taika Waiti and Rita Ora made their marriage official in an intimate 8 person wedding which took place at their Los Angeles home. Ora donned a stunning design masterminded by Tom Ford, featuring intricate white lace and a single shoulder. In a peculiar recurring theme of these small weddings, the newlyweds were surprised with a personal performance from Elvis Presley, straight out of Vegas. 

Extravagant

When it comes to celebrity weddings you either go big, or go home. There’s certainly no couple that went bigger than Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra. In a lavish display that spanned over several weeks in 2018, they beautifully honoured their respective religions in a month of blended cultural celebrations. Chopra gracefully donned a custom white lace gown from Ralph Laurent alongside a stunning red lehenga from Sabyasachi Mukherjee during their everlasting festivities. 


Set in the romantic city of Venice, the elegant Clooney couple exchanged vows before their star-studded guest list back in 2014. Amal’s classic style was complemented by an Oscar de la Renta garment of ivory French Chantilly lace, meticulously embellished with pearls and diamantes. The Italian affair was a memorable occasion, not only for George and Amal, but us as well, and remains in the forefront of our thoughts when it comes to extravagant celebrity matrimony.
