Meet the cat travelling at sea with its human companion

Liz Clark (34) quit her Californian bartending job to sail the world with her 6-month-old rescue kitten. Her cat Amelia has adapted the very fitting name ‘Tropicat’ on social media as people rapidly obsess over the little sea-kitty.

Liz says Amelia has adapted to a life surrounded by water. 'She has to go out of a cat comfort zone often, but I think she now understands that I will keep her safe and she will have a lot of fun in the end'. Liz adds that that Amelia has made the yacht feel a lot more homely now.

The duo are slowly making their way around the world, beginning by exploring the Western coast of Mexico and Central America, then making their way around the South Pacific.

Little Amelia now adventures around the boat; finding cosy hide outs and helping as much as she can!
