Matthew McConaughey switches from acting to directing
Academy Award-winning actor Matthew McConaughey has just signed on as Wild Turkey's new Creative Director. In the role, McConaughey will serve as the bourbon brand's chief storyteller, for the first time the actor will be both in front of the camera and behind it.

McConaughey's first project, which he both directed and starred in, is a short film documenting his journey bonding with three generations of the Russell family, the clan behind the brand.
'When making a movie, you have two hours to tell a story,' McConaughey said of the new process. 'Here I have 30 seconds to reintroduce the world to this authentic American brand that has helped shape an entire U.S. industry, Bourbon. It will be a very interesting and fun challenge'
