Experience Japan's best with Steinlager Tokyo Dry

Introducing the newest addition to your chilly bin this summer – Steinlager Tokyo Dry. The latest offering from the brewing giant fuses New Zealand’s raw ingredients with Japanese brewing mastery. The result? A culture collision that produces a smooth, refreshing, super dry lager that’s both brilliantly clear and crisp.

The aptly named Tokyo Dry is set to be the brewer’s biggest launch since Steinlager Pure was introduced more than 10 years ago.

The launch campaign combines New Zealand’s top talent with Japanese masters.

Paying homage to the saying ‘when opposites attract’, Steinlager have fused the two cultures in their latest advertising campaign, with kiwi hip-hop crew, The Bradas, featuring in a unique music video as dancing Japanese avatars.

The 60” film captures the vital essence of the two countries in an explosion of colour and expression, as the two-time world champions dance their way around various locations in Tokyo. By using motion-capture and dynamic simulations to morph them into CGI avatars representing different Japanese disciplines, including origami, bonsai, sushi, pottery, calligraphy, robotics and neon lighting.

To celebrate the launch of Tokyo Dry, the iconic brand is bringing a taste of Tokyo to New Zealand as it welcomes one of Japan’s best DJs and DMC World DJ champion, DJ Kentaro, to perform at five exclusive gigs across the country.
