The month of May marks the annual multi-week celebration of New Balance’s enduring legacy of footwear in its signature colour. Grey Days represents the ingenuity of the New Balance sneaker, along with the colour that is iconic to the brand, keeping them fearlessly independent from their competitors since the 1906. The colour grey was chosen specifically as there were no sneakers on the market at that time using the hue, ultimately making New Balance stand out from the crowd. It was also the perfect complement to the concrete and asphalt backdrop of the urban roads. What started out as a trend amongst running enthusiasts developed into a fully-fledged style pivot when people realised that the colour grey looked good anywhere - and suited a number of outfits. While the models have evolved over the years with everchanging technology and materials, grey continues to embody New Balance’s timeless quality and style, in every form. This May, the brand will release several exclusive new sneaker launches throughout the month, as well as a film 'Grey Days' paying heritage to the history of the colour with the brand for New Balance devotees to add to their collection.
