The wait is finally over… Good news for all you shopaholics as the long-awaited opening of Westfield Newmarket is here. With a whopping 40 new stores, some of the exciting retail stores that are now available in the heart of Auckland City include our very own David Jones, Chemist Warehouse and Cosmetic Clinic.

Bargain hunters get ready for some staggering steals as, after 18 months of construction, Westfield Newmarket is introducing New Zealand’s first of a more modern and experiential shopping journey with various fine dining spots and entertainment services. 

Located in the heart of Auckland City, on 277 Broadway - Westfield Newmarket will be setting the benchmark for New Zealand retail centres introducing never before seen stores in the Auckland market, including clothing brands such as General Pants Co, Aje, Camilla and Zimmerman. 

Opening celebrations commenced on Thursday and will be carrying on right through to this Sunday. Expect exclusive retail offers, live music and entertainment loaded into these next three days of festivities. Some of the key activities taking place this weekend include cultural performances, roaming kids entertainment and live music. 

Wind down from the hectic work week with a glass of complimentary bubbles, while proceeding to check out the various levels of store openings. Some of the exclusive retail offers available this weekend include free coffee and half-price meals at The Coffee Club, free kombucha and goodie bags at Bras N Things, 40% off all laser and skin treatments at The Cosmetic Clinic as well as the chance to win a $1000 voucher and buy one get one free at Hulucat. 

Introducing a new membership programme for shoppers, ‘Westfield Plus’ is a smartphone app that has been designed to help customers get the most out of every visit with ongoing benefits starting with 2 hours free parking. 

Opening in several stages, from August 29 until Christmas the first level opening will welcome some of our retail favs and first-to-market stores with a range of our much loved technology, lifestyle, beauty and food retailers, including Farmers, Coco Republic, Rebel Sport, Beauty & Beyond, Dangerfield, 2 Degrees, Hulu Cat, Amore Gelato, EB Games, Kathmandu, Bras N Things and Chemist Warehouse. 

By Christmas, the centre plans to have all 230 stores open as well as an alfresco rooftop dining and entertainment precinct, including a gym and event cinema.
