Trending: Vans SK8-HI

2016 has been the year of classic sneakers.

Introduced in 1978, the Sk8-HI is about as classic as it gets. It was the brand’s second shoe ever to feature the signature side stripe design. Originally crafted for skaters, it comes with high, padded sides originally added to protect skaters’ ankles from flying boards. For the fashion aficionado however, that just means they are more comfortable than dreaded stilettos (and considerably cooler).
