The Italian Maison has recently unveiled an exclusive and artistic collaborative accessories collection with Mary Katrantzou—her first collection since being appointed the first-ever Creative Director of Accessories for Bvlgari. This collection is a testament to the meticulous and beautiful craftsmanship that Bvlgari is renowned for.
"One of the first things I wanted to create for Bvlgari was a pattern, an identity: the Calla," she tells us. "I was inspired by the intricate mosaics of the Terme di Caracalla, a fragment of Ancient Rome that formed the inspiration for the now iconic Bvlgari ̔Divas' Dream' collection."
The motif, a sensuously curving fan, has a compelling femininity and universality, connecting with other cultures, other meanings. It links with the ginkgo leaf and with the calla lily. The 'Calla' has infinite interpretations – but all roads lead to Bvlgari. This connection to other cultures and meanings adds a layer of depth and richness to the motif, making it more than just a design, but a symbol of global beauty and elegance.

The iconic Serpentine motif receives a unique treatment in the new Serpentine Duo and Serpenti Sugarloaf. These bags offer a completely tactile experience, with a trapeze silhouette inspired by the cut of gemstones. The unique double snakehead metal handle, fully engraved with tiny scales, adds a touch of fascination. The body of the bag is adorned with the new Calla pattern, with rich matelassé or hand-set multi-coloured crystals bringing the sinuous and feminine fan-shaped patterns to life, a testament to the excellence and artistry of the house.
The new Serpenti Sugarloaf, a padded-volume nappa shoulder bag, draws both its form and name from the exquisite and rare high-domed variant of Bvlgari's signature cabochon cut. We admire the sinuous shapes of the Calla motif, interpreted with a complex matelassé motif and intricate lines that are precisely engineered and crafted by specialist Bvlgari artisans at the Maison's leather goods Atelier in Florence, Italy.
And then there is the Gingko Clutch, the tour de force of this new emblem. Suspended by a supple leather bracelet, the clutch is masterfully crafted from fine nappa leather and hand-set pavé crystals on sculpted metal, marking an exceptional fusion of jewellery-making artistry and leather craftsmanship.
