Reese Witherspoon's best red carpet looks
Actress, producer, entrepreneur, mother, general #girlboss...Reese Witherspoon has been in our hearts ever since Elle Woods and her penchant for pink strutted onto the scene in 2001. The Sweet Home Alabama star is set to celebrate her 43rd birthday this week - have you ever seen 43 look so good?! In honour of the birthday girl (and her now 28 year career), Remix decided to take a look back on some of her most iconic red carpet moments.
2001 Reese was in character at the Legally Blonde premiere, dazzling in a fitted pink number with a black netted overlay.
2002 The actress was the epitome of Old Hollywood glamour for her Oscars debut in 2002 with her soft curls, red lips, and sparkling black Valentino gown.
2006 Clad in a 1950s-inspired Christian Dior dress, the star kept it demure in her embellished ensemble and natural, paired-back makeup while collecting her Oscar for Best Actress.
2007 The star stepped out for the Golden Globe Awards solo (post-divorce with Ryan Phillipe - remember those days?) looking radiant in vibrant Vera Wang. We’d also like to declare that after the array of 2000s fringes, Reese can officially pull of bangs better than anyone.
2011 Reese channelled full-on boss vibes in her smart black suit for Elle’s Women in Hollywood event. Also, let us note that this was in 2011 - the woman was ahead of the blazer suit trend by years! We particularly love how she softened the look with the peep of black lace. Forever classy, Reese.
2014 Wait, are you sure this wasn’t taken at the 2019 Oscars? Pink was the hue of choice this award season, and we’re now pretty convinced Reese has the gift of time-travel. Bold, modern, and chic, the va-va-voom hot pink number did all the talking with minimal accessories and a fuschia lip.
2017 The star showed off her penchant for Stella McCartney in a sleek navy blazer dress paired with velvet navy pumps. The blonde bombshell added a pop of red on the lips to complete the look.
2018 Reese was red-hot in spangled burgundy Tom Ford for the A Wrinkle in Time premiere last year, the asymmetrical sleeves adding interest to the sleek silhouette (and again, bang on trend).
Happy birthday, Reese!
