Louis Vuitton launches #makeapromise
After a successful, year-long partnership with UNICEF, luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton have launched their first ever #makeapromise day on January 12th, 2017, to raise funds for children in need.
For today only, more than 460 Louis Vuitton stores worldwide will promote the sales of the Silver Lockit – available in a stunning silver necklace or bracelet style, designed specifically with the intention of raising funds for the some 250 million children living in poverty.
Louis Vuitton’s humanitarian efforts have raised more than $2.5 million to contribute to the lifesaving provision of water for 4.5 million children and their families in Syria. support children in both Syria and Nigeria
In a symbolic move that represents the continuation of this humanitarian effort and that represents childlike innocence, Louis Vuitton are urging customers to raise awareness by linking pinkies with a loved one. Representing trust, commitment and friendship, the pinkie promise is inherent to children, and something to be celebrated worldwide.
Show and share your commitment to children in need by wearing the Silver Lockit and crossing pinkies with your loved one to seal your promise. Post a photo on your social media, making sure your faces, hands and the Silver Lockit are visible, using the hashtag #makeapromise and tag your friends to ask them to #makeapromise as well.
