H&M Releases Their Seventh Conscious Collection

Since they opened in Sylvia Park early last year, everyone’s been buzzing about H&M finally landing in New Zealand.

To make things even more exciting, the brand has just announced their latest Conscious Exclusive collection, launching April 19th.

This is the seventh Conscious Exclusive campaign that H&M has launched, and judging by the teaser pictures from the slideshow above, it’s as beautiful as ever.

Based on Cottage Hyttnas, belonging to Swedish Artists Karin and Carl Larsson, the Conscience Exclusive design team took inspiration from the painting and tapestry filled home. The collections centre around sustainable fabrics and focus on development and innovation.

The pieces themselves are beautiful, delicate and feminine and made from either Econyl (a 100% recycled fabric made from fishnets and nylon waste) or Tencel (made from recycled polyester and linen). The collection is a perfect demonstration of the possibilities of sustainable fashion, so go ahead and shop guilt free!

The face fronting the collection is none other than Christy Turlington Burns, who is not only a world-renowned model, but is also the founder of the maternal health organisation “Every Mother Counts.”

Christy speaks very highly of the collection, (how could she not), saying; “I’ve learned so much about sustainable materials and how far we’ve come being part of the H&M conscious exclusive collection. The collection is really feminine and elegant.”

Check out the campaign video above and make sure you keep April 19th free for some retail therapy.
