American luxury heritage brand Coach has teamed up with Disney for an adorable Mickey Mouse collaboration. In celebration of American popular culture and Coach’s 75th anniversary, the limited-edition collection, released last week, is available in stores worldwide and online.
Each piece embodies Coach’s signature minimalistic, modern style with Mickey Mouse designs laced throughout their leather and ready-to-wear goods. Exclusive 1940’s style illustrations of the cheeky, beloved character feature on bags, backpacks, purses, t-shirts and shoes. The collection is every Mickey lovers dream including Stuart Vevers, the executive creative director of Coach who too adores Disney.
‘I’ve always seen Mickey as a playful rebel at heart and a timeless symbol of joy and creativity. That spirit reinforces the new youthful perspective we are bringing to luxury at Coach,’ Vevers explained in an interview with Harpers Bazaar. ‘His nostalgic charm, cheekiness, individuality and inherent cool make for the ultimate American icon’, Vevers says.
Mickey has featured throughout the fashion and beauty world in collaboration collections with Marc Jacobs, Moschino, Urban Decay, Nixon, and Kenzo; just to name a few!
