Discover Coach’s Winter ‘23 Collection

Coach’s American heritage stands as the pillar of each collection, and Stuart Vevers’ Winter ‘23 debut collection took this in its stride, whilst peering through the lens of youth counterculture. An ode to redefining heritage, Vevers curation is a representation of personal expression and individuality. The collection also debuted the highly-anticipated ‘Lil Nas X Drop,’ a curated collection of pieces designed by Coach, and chosen by American rapper and Coach’s ambassador, Lil Nas X

An ode to Lil Nas X’s expressive and beloved approach to fashion, the ‘Lil Nas X Drop’ is a curation of playful pieces that mesh leatherware and references to underground parties, as well as new pieces made up of reimagined or repurposed materials. The archetypal American flair of Coach is embraced through leather biker jackets and shearling, juxtaposed with classic-style t-shirts, sweatshirts and bags dressed with acid graphics and electric colours, evoking the eccentricity of rave culture.

Another reimagination along the Coach ‘23 runway was the beloved LBD or Little Black Dress. Think an effortless entwine of the romance and the grunge through sheer tulle with delicate embroidery and sequin finishes. Vevers’ creativity was shown through the customisation of his favourite Coach pieces, including shearling coats in bright colours, graphics inspired by concert merch, and the staple American varsity jacket personalised with patches. Throughout the collection, sustainability and upcycling remained at the forefront, from the reimagined pre-consumer tees and sweatshirts, as well as the (Re)Loved boot, crafted with repurposed Coach bags. “Our Winter collection is inspired by my belief that fashion is about exploring and celebrating all of who you are,” said Vevers. “To create the collection, we twisted the Coach archives and were also inspired by Lil Nas X’s connection to music and nightlife. We evolved heritage styles introduced on the runway last season by amplifying colour, texture and graphics to create pieces that celebrate our love for individuality and authentic self-expression that we share.”
