Woman Crush Wednesday: Alicia Vikander

Alicia Vikander, the new Jason Bourne starlet, is sending the world into a spin and is fast becoming the current It Girl everyone has their eyes on.

Alicia, who currently resides in London, is no newbie to the screen after starting her career appearing in multiple television shows and short films in her native country of Sweden.

With the world at her feet and her star definitely on the rise, Alicia Vikander is this week’s Woman Crush Wednesday.

The 27-year-old Swedish beauty is really making a name for herself in the fashion world, looking effortlessly chic on her cover debut of British Vogue’s August issue. Vogue have suitably dubbed her the ‘cool girl’.

Alicia is on a roll with her second film of 2016 The Light Between Oceans where she stars opposite her real-life partner, Michael Fassbender, due to release next month.

She’s a savvy business woman


To add another notch to her talented belt, Vikander announced earlier this year that she had set up her own production company 'Vikarious' with her agent Charles Collier. The companies first flick, Euphoria is due to begin filming this month in the German Alps and Alicia will again collaborate with Swedish director Lisa Langseth.

The Danish Girl cemented Vikander’s talent and went on to win her Best Supporting Actress at the 88th Academy Awards earlier this year. The director Tom Hopper wanted to cast a Danish actress however, on casting day, Vikander walked through the door. He told USA Today, 'she was so moving that I had tears in my eyes at the end of the first take.'

Fashion's new favourite 


Last year, Alicia was announced as a spokesperson for luxe label Louis Vuitton. Since then, she's been seen covering massive billboard's, wearing custom Louis Vuitton on the red carpet and sitting front row at the brand's fashion shows.
