The world's first underground park

After being the top Kickstarter project in 2012, the idea is finally coming to life.

The world's first underground park was unveiled in New York City earlier this year, after the plans were finalised for a park underneath the city streets and it is the first of its kind in the world.

An 80-year-old area known as the Delancey Underground is located beneath NYC's Lower East Side and is undergoing a transformation into an electricity-free, one acre urban park which has been named 'The Lowline'. The major construction will commence after the project reaches its $10 million USD funding goal - but it's already looking incredible!

The project hopes to create a domino effect all around the globe because after all. where do we go if the world becomes unliveable?
