The moment we’ve all been waiting for! Our mates Caleb and Georgia of
Broods have announced they will be releasing their debut album
Evergreen on August 22nd!
Our favourite sibling duo recently premiered their awesome new single ‘
Mother & Father’, on Zane Lowe's BBC Radio 1 show and received a rapturous response.
‘It’s gonna be a big 12 months for Broods, watch out!' Zane Lowe said.
The single shot straight to no. 1 on Hype Machine, accumulated over 220,000 Soundcloud Streams in just two weeks and recently made it to top 10 on the New Zealand iTunes Chart.
The album, produced by
Joel Little (Lorde) and recorded at Golden Age ,features their hits ‘
Bridges’ and ‘
Never Gonna Change’, plus nine new recordings that we’re sure will cement Broods as an international music force to be reckoned with.
Broods have been doing incredible things over the last eight months, including live performances across the Uunited States, Canada, the UK and Australia, with a string of showcases and support slots for the likes of
Ellie Goulding,
Haim, and
Chvrches, plus their own headline shows.
The Huffington Post has given the band high praise for their international shows, declaring that they certainly ‘deliver on the hype’ and that they are ‘dance floor filling joy’, ‘magnetic’, and ‘mesmerising’.
Broods are returning to Kiwi shores very soon, to perform a sold-out Auckland show on the August 21st. Tickets are still available for the shows in Wellington on August 22nd and in Christchurch on August 23rd.
