Inside designer Stephen Kirkby's New Balance obsession

  New Balance brand ambassador, Stephen Kirkby has always been a shoe enthusiast, and now with his collaboration with New Balance, the menswear and graphic designer is getting a bit of a collection. Steve currently has over 30 pairs of New Balance shoes to his name and believes that every pair tells a story. Based in Mt Maunganui, Steve believes that it’s his environment that inspires his work and helps him to feel creative. However, he finds that a balance between a strong local style and awareness of international trends is important, so last year Steve visited Tokyo and Hong Kong to find that extra inspiration he needed to create excellence in his craft.
