The epic full-length Beauty and the Beast trailer
Disney has released the debut trailer for their live-action remake of one of its most beloved animations - Beauty and the Beast.
The two-minute trailer reveals heroine Belle, played by Emma Watson, alongside our first glimpse of Dan Stevens' CGI Beast (aka Prince Adam) in action.
Opening with Belle's exchange of her freedom for her father's, she becomes the Beast's captive at his vast castle. Cue her encounter with a host of quick-witted, whimsical household objects, who hope she is the one to break the spell over the castle. Romance ensues.
The fresh take on the classic fairytale doesn't seem to stray too far from it's roots, and features all familiar elements from the 1991 animation. The wolf attack, the reveal of Belle's library, falling in love in the snow, and, of course, the iconic 'Tale As Old As Time' dance sequence in the ballroom.
A star-studded cast includes Luke Evans as lothario Gaston, Ewan McGregor as the smooth-talking Lumiere, Ian McKellen as sidekick Cogsworth and Emma Thompson as the matriarchal Mrs Potts.
The set design is every bit as luxe as we'd hoped it would be, with the romantic French Rococo setting creating a visually captivating backdrop for the romantic tale between a princess and her monstrous captor.
