Big Gay Out
The iconic Big Gay Out will return to Coyle Park on Sunday, February 16, 2025. Known as a vibrant celebration of love and inclusion, this event brings together the LGBTQIA+ community and allies for a day of music, markets, delicious food, and entertainment. With its unique fun and community spirit blend, Big Gay Out remains a highlight of Auckland’s summer calendar.

Gender Affirming Fashion Upcycling
Every Sunday in February, come to Te Manawa Library's Creative Space for an afternoon of gender-affirming fashion upcycling. Bring one or two garments from your wardrobe that you would like to transform into something truly you. Learn upcycling and mending techniques to chop and change your outfits into something unique creatively.

Free dance workshops with PROWL
Prowl Productions, New Zealand's premiere waacking and street dance company is offering free dance workshops. Following their successful season at Auckland Fringe with the award-winning street dance theatre show 'PROWL', the company now offers three free dance workshops on 22 Feb 12:30-5:30 at Kinetic Dance studios, Auckland. The dance styles that will be taught during these workshops are Waacking, Vogue and Open choreography. These classes are open to the 15 and up age range, with the class level described as open (not too basic or advanced). Register your interest at prowlproductionsnz@gmail.com. Students can participate in one or more workshops.

Waimahara
On March 1st, the Auckland Pride Festival will close with Waimahara at Myers Park. This reimagined gathering shifts the traditional Pride March and Pride Party to an activation that reflects on the strength within our communities and galvanises our shared vision of queer liberation and social justice. Beginning with a rally in Aotea Square Grass Terraces, attendees will march to Myers Park through the public art installation Waimahara by Graham Tipene (Ngāti Whātua, Ngāti Kahu, Ngāti Hine, Ngāti Hauā, Ngāti Manu) for a day of connection, learning, and organising around shared advocacy goals.
