Your first glimpse of The Little Mermaid remake

The hype is so real.

The trailer for the live-action remake of The Little Mermaid is here and it has us reliving our childhood fantasies all over again. 

Based on Hans Christian Anderson's fairy tale instead of the better known Disney version, the film adopts a pretty different story line. Although undeniably different to the animated film that we all so familiar with, the live-action film trailer has already captivated millions. 

It has us follow a little girl (Loreto Peralta) and her enchanting experiences that come about when she discovers a woman that she believes is the real Little Mermaid, who is played by Poppy Drayton. If you were hoping for a release date we're all left waiting with baited breath - all we know is it will be in cinemas later in 2017.
