Daft Punk's New Album Random Access MemoriesWords by Steven Fernandez.   You’d have had to be living under a rock for the last few weeks to not be aware that Daft Punk is back! The French electronic duo is set to release their first new album in eight years worldwide next month.   Entitled Random Access Memories, the record is Daft Punk’s first since Human After All in 2005 and features collaborations with musicians Chilly Gonzales, Panda Bear, Julian Casablancas and Nile Rodgers among many others.   Heavyweight hip hop producer Pharrell Williams lends his hand to a few tracks, including the first single “Get Lucky”, which recently broke the record as the highest ever streamed track on Spotify!   Check out the video below to hear Pharrell talk about his experience working with Daft Punk and jump over to www.randomaccessmemories.com for all the other videos in “The Collaborators” series.   Oh and even better for us – thanks to an Australasian licensing deal, Australia and New Zealand can buy the album on May 17… nearly a week before the rest of the world!   Hopefully that means there’s a tour on the horizon and we’ll get to see these guys back in action soon!
