Remix tried the new Signature Peel from Caci, here is what you can expect

With winter now in the rear view mirror and summer tantalisingly close, it’s the perfect time to start getting your glow on via great skincare, a ton of hydration and targeted skin treatments that let you wipe the seasonal slate clean for a fresh start. One that I was lucky enough to indulge in just prior to its launch date is Caci’s brand new Signature Peel, the ultimate glow getting combination of a chemical resurfacing peel and a cool, soothing Sonophoresis Skin Infusion or transformative LED Light Therapy.

Exclusive to Caci’s 80+ clinics nationwide, it’s a highly efficacious, results-driven marvel that clocks in at just thirty minutes – so definitely able to slot into even the busiest of schedules. Powerful, customised to each customer and fast acting, my treatment was delivered by expert Skin Therapist, Nhan, and the results went beyond my expectations.

How does it work?

Caci’s Signature Peel uses a powerful mix of growth factors, enzymes and acids to provide a deep level of biostimulation to prompt collagen production. There is the likes of CoEnzyme Q10 to give your skin an energy boost, Chloroacetic Acid to stimulate cells to create collagen and form strong, healthy bonds, and Kojic Acid, which reduces hyperpigmentation and halts further production of dark spots. And thanks to a unique delivery system, the peel is suitable for all skin tones and even reduces post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

What happens?

First up, the Signature Peel is applied and left on the skin for two minutes, with up to three applications depending on your skin’s unique reaction. It is then followed by a cool, soothing Sonophoresis Skin Infusion or LED Light Therapy. Your Caci Skin Therapist will customise the treatment to get you the best results, with Nhan opting for the former for my skin coupled with a high performance hydrating serum.

What does it feel like?

During the treatment the peel will feel warm and tingly, but then immediately soothed by either sonophoresis or LED Light. After the treatment your skin can be warm and feel a little tight, which is normal, and some may get a little flaking as your fresh new skin cells push their way to the top. After the peel suncare is a must (as it should be any day of the year), and it’s important to pop on a fresh pillowcase and use only gentle skincare (no actives) for the seven days following.

What results can I expect?

Super-fast acting, literally 24 hours post-peel my skin was clear, plumped up, hydrated and incredibly happy – we love that! The texture was the best it has been in a long time, and fine lines banished to the back of the queue. For optimal results Caci recommends a series of at least four peels every four weeks, which given the brevity of each treatment is easier than most beauty-related commitments and will definitely get you glowing again in time for the summer season.
