Try these whisky cocktail recipes for your next summer event
Cocktail lovers, listen up! We know that when it comes to whisky sipping it’s usually served straight up or on the rocks. But although there’s definitely a place for those two classic styles in our night cap rotation, there’s more fun to be had with whisky than meets the eye. Ahead of your next summer cocktail night, we turned to the delicious range from Glenmorangie and chatted with their expert local mixologist to see how far – and fruity – a whisky cocktail can go.
Single Malt & Strike
Glenmorangie Original, Ardbeg TEN, Passionfruit & Citrus
Ingredients: 40ml Glenmorangie Original, 10ml Ardbeg TEN, 20ml passionfruit syrup, 30ml fresh lime juice
Glass: Double rocks
Garnish: Mint sprig
How to: Add all ingredients into a shaker, add lots of ice, shake hard and double strain over fresh ice in a double rocks glass.
Wide Eyed Wonder
Glenmorangie X, Amontillado Sherry & Honeyed Groseille
Ingredients: 50ml Glenmorangie X, 10ml Amontillado sherry, 10ml honey, 4 muddled raspberries, 5ml lemon, soda water
Glass: Tall glass
Garnish: Ground tea leaves
How to: Add all ingredients into a tall glass and add ice. Top with soda and then stir. Garnish with ground tea leaves.
What if?
Glenmorangie Original, Mandarin, Peach, Yuzu & Bitters
Ingredients: 40ml Glenmorangie Original, 20ml mandarin juice, 20ml yuzu juice, 10ml sugar syrup, 2 dashes peach bitters
Glass: Martini glass
Garnish: Orange peel
How to: Add all ingredients into a shaker, add lots of ice, shake hard and strain in a martini glass.
