The world's your oyster at Federal Street this January…
The world’s love for oysters (AKA everyone’s favourite culinary delicacy) continues to grow and evolve. We just can’t get enough of these bivalve molluscs with rough irregular shells (Wikipedia, 2019), and we have discovered an Auckland restaurant strip that is set to elevate our appreciation to a level like never before.
That’s right, it’s oyster season at the restaurants of Federal Street with fresh, New Zealand oysters available throughout January. Whether you’re outside on the patio at The Grill or 53 floors up the Sky Tower at The Sugar Club, you can enjoy half a dozen oysters and a glass of selected Champagne for $25. Champagne and oysters are famously a match made in heaven, and whatever way you look at it, it’s set to be the culinary and imbibe hotspot of the month, so you’re not going to want to delay in getting down there at your earliest convenience.

The Grill
Enjoy half a dozen oysters and a glass of Veuve Clicquot Champagne for $25 on the outdoor patio every day during January. Freshly shucked to order, our fat and creamy New Zealand pacific oysters are finished with shallot & red wine vinegar, olive oil, white balsamic and lemon.

Gusto at the Grand
Enjoy half a dozen oysters and a glass of Moët & Chandon Brut NV Champagne for $25 in the lounge bar. Freshly shucked to order, these delizioso New Zealand pacific oysters are simply finished with balsamic vinegar and fresh lemon.

Half a dozen oysters and a glass of Perrier-Jouët Champagne for $25.
Freshly shucked to order, these delicious, plump and creamy New Zealand pacific oysters are finished with chilli daikon, spring onion and ponzu dressing.

The Sugar Club
Half a dozen oysters, Champagne and harbour views for $25… could it get any better?
Our plump, deep cupped New Zealand pacific oysters are shucked on the spot as you order them, saving the precious oysters juices and then dousing them in yuzu & lemongrass foam, kaffir & finger lime. Served with a crisp cold glass of Moët & Chandon Brut NV Champagne.
