And the best part? Fine dining experiences that won’t cost you the earth. Whether you can only spare $25, or can afford a more lavish $55 deal, we’ve collated six of the best express lunch and dinner offerings from across the city. So, grab your best friend, boy/girlfriend, or just your mate, and make a beeline for one of these outposts, and tantalise your taste-buds, stat.
FOR $25:
Mexico is offering an amazing two-course lunch or dinner for only $25, which includes mouth-watering dishes such as beef cheek with celeriac puree, yeast battered zucchini flower and 'Bread of the dead' with Dulce de Leche, orange and cardamom glaze. You’re also able to order off of their full menu, which means yes - you can order the fried chicken amongst other favourites such as their mouth-watering quesadillas and tacos.
The Culpeper is doing a similar deal, offering $25 for a two-course lunch or dinner! Your options include chipotle fried chicken, kimchi aioli and seared market fish with green papaya slaw, Nam Jim dressing and crispy shallot, all of which are perfect meals to go and enjoy on a sneaky extended lunch break. With an offer like this, we are tempted to be dining here every day of the week.
FOR $40:
This one goes out to all our seafood lovers as Depot is offering for $40 a two-course raw dinner or lunch including wine (yes please). These two courses include six local oysters, six local clams and kingfish sashimi with oyster cream matched with two glasses of Nautilus Rosé. All their ingredients are sourced locally, offering only the freshest seafood which will have you coming back time and time again.
The Lula Inn always offers an array of mouth-watering dishes not matter what you select from their Pacific-inspired menu. Their amazing $40 deal gives you a two-course dinner or lunch, and includes all manner of delicious fare, like the Massimo's burrata with cabbage gazpacho, winter vegetable salad or scampi spaghetti - all of which sound like the perfect meal to indulge with during these cold winter evenings.
FOR $55:
Of course, Euro never fails to please, and during this amazing month of dining you can get a three-course dinner or lunch for $55. Their tasty options include market fish ceviche with slow cooked lamb shoulder, toasted almond, wild wheat tabouli and tamarillo, chocolate ganache, mango curd or tamarillo sorbet. After enjoying an entree, main and desert, you may have to undo your top button before walking out…
The Cut on Federal is also offering a three-course dinner (including a delicious dessert to appeal to your sweet tooth) which is bound to get you racing down there, stat. The menu options include seafood chowder including mussels, smoked hapuka clams with ciabatta or a Wagyu beef burger with hand cut fries. To follow for a scrumptious dessert, your options are a carameila tart, chocolate cookie crust or hokey pokey.
