Rosé treats and desserts you need to try

As the final month of winter approaches, we can't help but long for warmer days. It won't be long before we are sitting on the back porch sipping a glass of rosé at the end of a long work day. For now, though, while rainy skies and 5 pm sunsets are rendering our evenings indoor-oriented, these rosé treats and desserts are the perfect way to indulge in our favourite springtime wine (while sitting in front of the heater).

Rosé gummy bears

There are few sugary snacks as moorish as a pack of gummy bears. Bonus points if they are made of wine. Get the recipe here.

Rosé-infused strawberries

You'd be hard-pressed to find two more summery flavours than rosé and strawberries. Marry the two, add white chocolate and you have the ultimate remedy for the winter blues. Though not technically in season yet, strawberry prices are dropping by the day. Thank goodness. Check out the recipe here.

Sparkling rosé velvet layer cake

This cake is light and fluffy - much like a good class of sparkling rosé. While recipe calls for pink champagne, we suggest a rich rosè champagne for the buttercream frosting. Get the gorgeous recipe here.

Rosè, strawberry and watermelon popsicles

Definitely one you'll want to be sitting in front of the heater for (for now at least), these rosé, strawberry and watermelon popsicles are fruity and refreshing. Make them now and keep them in the freezer until the first hint of spring, perhaps? They can be stored for up to six months. Grab the recipe here.
