Rolex takes Remix on the water for the Auckland leg of the SailGP

Although we’ve been known as the city of sails since the early 80s, it’s fair to say that the city has really caught the sailing wave in recent days.

Honouring a new partnership, the celebrated watchmaker Rolex—who has such a strong legacy in sporting affairs—invited Remix Founder Tim Phin along to the Auckland leg of the Rolex SailGP Championship. And although we Kiwis didn’t get the result we were after, Rolex Testimonee Tom Slingsby managed to pull off a very impressive win for our friends over the Tasman.

As a guest of Rolex, Remix had an up-close-and-personal tour of the New Zealand boat, and the watchmaker took us to the water on one of the official chase boats, giving us the best vantage point of all the action on the water.

It’s an exciting time for fans of the sport, to say the least—one that, with Rolex on board, we can be sure will only bolster in spirit.
