Remix founder Tim Phin experiences Bulgari’s luxurious Hotel Paris

Paris may boast some of the world’s most luxurious hotels but Bulgari’s stands apart from its competitors, not only for its incredible location but for the attention to detail. Opened in December 2021, the hotel stands proud at 30 Avenue George V in the heart of Paris’ Golden Triangle. Situated between the Seine and the Champs-Élysées on the Right Bank, it is a new kind of hotel experience where Italian hospitality meets French elegance.

In the first week of June, Remix founder Tim Phin spent three nights at Bulgari’s Hotel Paris experiencing that Roman glamour and Parisian sophistication “The hotel has ‘Bulgari everything’, from the toiletries, sheets, luxury bathroom products and beauty essentials, all the way down to Bulgari branded chocolates and cookies delivered each night. You are completely immersed in luxury. The Bulgari jewellery store is built into the hotel and when you leave the five big French and European brands are right on your doorstep. An unforgettable experience!”

Nestled in the 8th arrondissement, a short stroll will take you to the likes of Prada, Louis Vuitton, Gucci and the notable La Galerie Dior. Take a left and you’ll find yourself at the iconic Galeries Lafayette, by the time you make your way through you’ll likely have worked up an appetite. With three-Michelin-starred Chef Niko Romito at the helm, the Hotel restaurant is not to be missed, Romito has reinvented the transalpine dining tradition by focusing on the essential ingredients and characteristics of Italian cuisine. Every interior element of the restaurant has been hand-selected to create an intimate dining experience, with only 26 tables guests and visitors of the hotel can expect to dine in a private garden with a comfortable, effortlessly chic atmosphere. Insider tip: order the Granchio Reale con caviale Baeri e patata and thank Tim later!

The hotel has ideal access to the Métro, the entrance to George V, and a single stop on Line 1 is just a seven-minute walk and will take you to the likes of the Louvre. The true crown jewel, however, is the spa, boasting one of the best gyms in the city and arguably the most luxurious pool. It would be a crime not to allow for a full day here, guests can enjoy a sauna, steam room, hammam and a malachite mosaic-lined hydrotherapy pool. The gym was curated by Lee Mullins’ Workshop Gymnasium, almost everything is available from strength and cardio training to pilates. Regimens are developed for each individual guest who can continue the routine at any of Bulgari’s seven hotels leaving you, unfortunately, with no excuses to avoid a workout whilst travelling for work or play. Set one level below the lobby, the spa feels like Paris’ best-kept secret. Every detail is considered down to the changing rooms which are clad in Burmese teak and milky Vicenza Italian stone. Guests are provided with fluffy robes and woven sandals before being shown to the treatment room for a relaxation experience on par with the world’s best.

No matter the time of year, a stay in Paris will always be magical but at Bulgari’s Hotel Paris, it’s unrivalled. On se voit là-bas!
