Remix drinks: Crafters Union wines

Friday night drinks are a weekend rite of passage in the Remix office and last week we were lucky enough to give Crafters Union wines a test drive (tough job, I know). Distinctively packaged and undeniably festive, the wines are as delicious as they are aesthetically pleasing.

Each wine comes in its own distinctive wrapping, telling a unique story.

The Hawkes Bay Pinot Gris is clear and crisp, with hints of nectarine and pear, finished with melon and crisp apple. The refreshing wine is complemented perfectly by seafood –  a favourite amongst the team.

The Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is incredibly elegant, with vibrant bursts of gooseberry and zesty citrus. Rounded out with hints of tropical fruits, the wine is impossibly elegant with wonderful intensity.

The Rosé, also from the sunny Hawkes Bay is graceful and delicate. Pale pink and with refreshing watermelon and strawberry it is sweet but not too sweet. Perfect for a Friday afternoon on the deck.

Born out of one of the best Shiraz regions around, McLaren Vale, the Shiraz is dramatic and bold; perfectly complimented by its stunning packaging!

The Pinot Noir is rich and possesses serious depth, with flavours of cherries, plum, raspberries and soft tannins.  A wine that embodies depth and finesse, it was a favourite of our resident sweet tooth, who insisted it goes perfectly with chocolate.

The Custom Red is flavoursome and lush, with a distinct taste that lingers on the palette; an absolute must for any avid red drinker.
